The Open call has been closed and five talented photographers have been selected to an all expense paid workshop with James Whitlow Delano at PondyPHOTO 2016. The names will be announced on PhotoConcierge by Sunday 24 July at noon.

For those who weren’t able to send in their applications earlier, it isn’t too late. You can write to us and still register for the workshop.

This is a fantastic opportunity for emerging environmental photographers to be mentored in their craft.

Open Call – Documentary Photography & Story Telling with James Whitlow Delano -Deadline Extended

The deadline for the Open Call by PondyPhoto 2016, to attend the “Documentary Storytelling Workshop” by James Whitlow Delano, has been extended!

Delano is a highly acclaimed photographer currently based in Japan. He is also the founder of Everyday Climate Change Instagram Feed on which photographers from across the globe document climate change images in 7 continents. His latest award-winning monograph book, “Black Tsunami – Japan 2011 (FotoEvidence) is a testimony to the effects of climate change and nuclear disaster after the Great East Japan earthquake Tsunami.

Five exceptionally promising applicants from India (who will be selected by Delano and Clare Arni) will be able to attend and have all their expenses paid by Pondy Photo 2016 and our partners. The expenses covered will be:

  • Travel Expenses to and from Pondicherry
  • Stay in Pondicherry for the duration of the workshop
  • Workshop Fee
  • This is a fantastic opportunity for emerging environmental photographers to be mentored in their craft.
